    Supernatural Beings: Vampires

In 2008, the perception of vampires changed greatly for many people following the commencement of a massive movie franchise based on a vampiric novel series as well as a massive television series that was also based on a vampiric novel series.

Twilight and True Blood were huge, growing the fan base of vampires from die-hard horror fans and fans of classic literature to almost everyone who watched the movies or series. So, in 2011, Microgaming decided to give this new and gigantic a game that they could enjoy by featuring this new form of romanticised vampires.

Immortal Romance tells the story of a vampire-human love affair, taking place across three rows, five reels, and all 243 paylines. On the reels, you’ll find classic slot game high-card symbols as well as the manor, the four characters, the game’s wild logo for big wins, and scatter symbols for even bigger wins of 6000 times your coin bet. With a mighty jackpot of 72,900 coins and a return to player percentage of 96.86, Immortal Romance was very much ahead of its time, further shown by the amount of depth that Microgaming included in its character creation. You can read more about the vampire slot game at slotcatalog.

The story of Immortal Romance is centered around Sarah, who believes that she is a run-of-the-mill human doctor of pathology and the dashing vampire Michael. The 800-year-old vampire took a liking to Sarah at a medical seminar, with the heroine of this game later discovering his vampiric ways and the special traits hidden in his blood. Her best friend, Amber, is not a fan of Sarah’s love affair with the vampire. Boasting supernatural powers of her own, she has threatened to curse Michael should any harm come to her friend, but her confidence has been shaken by the arrival of Michael’s mentee, Troy. Troy is only 200-years-old and still very brash, never apologizing or trying to hide his desire for human blood, making him a very dangerous being.

In Immortal Romance, all of the characters appear as high-paying symbols on the reels, but come to life in The Chamber of Spins, which is triggered by three or more scatters landing on your slot game in one spin. With Amber as your character in The Chamber of Spins, you get ten free spins that can be re-triggered and multiply all wins by five. With Troy, you get 15 free spins and the Vampire Bats Feature, which randomly turns symbols into multipliers. Michael brings in the exciting Rolling Reels for his 20 free spins, with consecutive wins increasing the multiplier. Finally, there’s Sarah’s, whose wild love life has been reflected in the use of the Wild Vine Feature in her 25 free spins, which randomly turns other symbols wild.

As noted, the game’s wild takes the form of the Immortal Romance logo, and while it performs as a normal wild should by substituting for all paying symbols, it also doubles a win that it has helped to create. There’s also the random Wild Desire feature that will suddenly turn up to all five reels into wild symbols.

With big-win potential, a lofty RTP, great graphics, and a true story to all of its characters, Immortal Romance stands as one of the deepest and most intriguing slots in Microgaming’s games library.
